Academic calendar in France begins in September and ends in June, depending in which academic department your future outgoing student are going to study. An Academic Year (AY) is divided in semesters like follows:

  • 1st semester (Fall semester) from September to end January
  • 2nd semester (Spring semester) from January to end June (eventually in July if retake exam)

An AY is also punctuated by vacations, examinations and also retake examinations.
